Karen trained professionally as a Senior Associate of The Royal Ballet School and then full time at Elmhurst School for Dance. She graduated with a National Diploma in Classical Ballet and Contemporary Dance. She is a fully qualified and registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance and Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing examinations boards.
Her professional theatre credits include; Dirty Dancing, Aldwych Theatre, (Penny, Vivian and Mrs. Shumacher), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, UK Tour, Disney’s Beauty and Beast, UK Tour, Hello Dolly! Theatre Royal, Lincoln, Cats, German and Swiss Tour, (Victoria-White Cat), New English Contemporary Ballet (Soloist), Cats, UK Tour (Cassandra, Victoria and Tantomile).
Karen has previously taught at Dennard Theatre Arts, London, Showstoppers Stage School in Portarlington, KidKast Theatre School, Drogheda and Donna Whitten Dance School, Portadown and has taught at summer schools and workshops at Shawbrook, Longford and Wallasey School of Ballet, Liverpool. Alongside her work at Leotards and Monologues, she currently teaches at Debbie Allen School of Dance, Dublin.

Theatre Credits Include: Alternate Jean Valjean in Les Miserables (Queen's), Firechief/Monsieur Firmin/Monsieur Lefévre in The Phantom of the Opera (Her Majesty’s), Understudied and played Harvey in All The Fun Of The Fair (Garrick), Billy Kosteki in Dirty Dancing (Aldwych), Snake Preacher and The Man in Whistle Down The Wind (Palace), Big Macca and also played Britney and Khashoggi in We Will Rock You (Dominion), Snake Preacher and The Man in Whistle Down The Wind (UK Tour), the original cast of The Witches Of Eastwick (Theatre Royal, Drury Lane), Vince Fontaine/ Teen Angel in Grease (UK Tour), Heathcliff (UK Tour), Pharoah in Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat (UK Tour), Elwood Blues in The Official Tribute To The Blues Brothers (UK and European Tour), Out Of The Blue (Shaftesbury), understudied and played Chris in Miss Saigon (Theatre Royal, Drury Lane).
Concerts include: Hojja in Moonshadow with Yusuf Islam on his Guess I’ll take My Time Tour, Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar (Porchester Castle), Enjolras in Les Miserables (BIC), The American in Chess (BIC), West End Rocks (Hexagon), Showstoppers (UK Tour), Live And Let Die (BSO), Christmas Crackers (BSO), Queen Symphonia (BSO).
Workshops include: George in Marguerite, Cloudkeeper in Sleeping Beauty, Ninoy in Calling Manila for Royal Opera House.

Chris was awarded a VOX 2011 Award for his voiceover work with TalkSport Radio.
Recordings: Original cast recordings of Dirty Dancing, All The Fun Of The fair, Moonshadow, The Witches Of Eastwick, Heathcliff. His debut solo album Finally! was released in 2009.
